January 25, 2012 - ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Human Services’ (DHS), Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) is collecting teddy bears and other stuffed animals for children as part of their annual Bearable Hugs for Georgia’s Children campaign. The toys will be given to children receiving care at pediatric facilities, women’s shelters, law enforcement agencies and other children’s organizations throughout Georgia.
December 21, 2011 - ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) is announcing the availability of the Problem Solving Court program (PSC) in Ellijay to assist non-custodial parents with meeting their child support obligations. PSC provides an alternative to incarceration for failing to meet child support obligations by addressing underlying issues and barriers that cause non-custodial parents to become chronic non-payers of child support.

November 2010 - ATLANTA (GA) – On Tuesday, December 14, 2010, the Georgia Fatherhood Program, part of the Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) Division of Child Support Services (DCSS), will sponsor a career fair to provide new career opportunities. The career fair will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the St. Pius X Resource Center, 705 E. Anderson Street, Savannah, Georgia and is open to the public. Attendees are asked to dress professionally and be prepared to interview immediately on site.
